Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta is committed to making everyone’s experience an enjoyable one and provides the following for our disabled visitors to assist with ease of access throughout the fiesta.
Please do consider that the Balloon Fiesta is an outdoor event with grass fields and grounds with gradients/uneven surfaces, whilst we have made a great effort to provide facilities to accommodate for this there will inevitably be some areas that are hard to navigate.
Personal Assistant tickets are only issued where the disabled customer requires a significant and substantial amount of support from another person to attend the event. This support must be beyond what can reasonably be expected to be provided by friends and family already in attendance with you.
If you require assistance (Free Personal Assistant ticket) to attend Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta or have any other access requirements, please follow the process below:
Please note – Photo ID of the disabled customer will need to be presented at ticket exchange on arrival. For disabled children, we will take parents’ photo ID into account. These tickets cannot be sold on.
Alongside your completed access registration form, we can take the following types of information into account to award a Personal Assistant ticket.

If you do not require a free Personal Assistant ticket or Accessible Campsite permit, but you have other requirements, please purchase the appropriate number of tickets and also complete the Access Requirements form.
Once agreed, a free Personal Assistant ticket of the same type already bought by you or an Accessible Campsite permit will be added to your order. The tickets will then be emailed to you prior to the event.
For accessible parking please follow the general Balloon Fiesta traffic signage on the main approach to the event. As you get closer to the event site there will be specific signage for Accessible Parking. There is no fee to park.
Parking spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis and cannot be pre-booked.
Blue Badge Permits will be required before entry into the car park. Parking spaces are restricted to one badge per car, any additional cars with friends and family members not holding a blue badge will need to park in the main car parks. Balloon fiesta staff members will be on hand to guide you to the car parks.
There will be both standard and accessible toilets provided throughout the site. They will be sign-posted and members of staff will be around to guide you in the direction if you are unable to see them.

To apply for an accessible campsite permit, you must first purchase a weekend camping ticket. Once you have this, please complete the access requirement form.
There are accessible toilets and accessible showers in the campsite. There will also be standard facilities for non-disabled campers, and it is politely requested that those campers not use the accessible facilities.
Assistance dogs are welcome on site.
There is a viewing platform for the main stage. This area is only accessible to customers with the accessibility wristband. Please complete the access requirement form if you require use of this area.
